Siem Reap

We had 4 great days here exploring the ancient temples and experiencing the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap, with possibly the most out of control traffic in the world. The Temples are truly amazing, with Angkor Wat living up to it's reputation of the 8th wonder of the world.

In a little village outside Siem Reap where we met a lovely family. Finn shaking hands with his new little friend.

Inside Banteay Srei - the temple of the female. It's over 1000 yrs old and has the most intricate carvings of all. Beautiful place.

We watched the rice being planted in the village.

Angkor Thom was built by the King as his royal palace. It includes The Bayon, the Terrace of Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Out of the 216 faces at the Bayon Temple, only one is smiling - Avalokiteshvara, the buddha of compassion -This was the king's state temple.
